Dental Services We Offer

We believe orthodontic care should feel personal — because for most people, it is. Located in Renton and Centralia, WA and serving families across the Greater Seattle area and Lewis County, Lasley Orthodontics offers everything from early childhood evaluations and Invisalign to braces, airway correction, and complex adult treatment — all under the care of one doctor who has been here since 2008. Whether you're a parent wondering if your 7-year-old should be evaluated, an adult who has been putting this off for years, or someone who's been told their case is too complicated — this practice was built for exactly that kind of patient. We'd love to meet you.

Invisalign & Clear Aligners

Nearly invisible, removable, and designed to fit around your real life. Dr. Lasley is one of the most experienced Invisalign providers in the country — this isn't a side service here, it's the heart of what we do. Whether you're an adult who's been thinking about it for years or a teen who doesn't want metal on their teeth, we'll show you exactly what's possible.

Services:

  • Invisalign (Adults)

  • Invisalign Teen

  • Invisalign for Kids (early cases)

Braces

If braces are the right fit for you or your child, you'll find they're nothing like what you remember. They're smaller, more comfortable, and more effective — and yes, you can still pick fun colors. We'll match the treatment to the person, not the other way around.

Services:

  • Traditional Metal Braces

  • Clear/Ceramic Braces (tooth-colored)

  • Lingual Braces (hidden behind the teeth)

  • Self-Ligating Braces (fewer adjustments, more comfort)

Kids & Early Care

Around ages 6–7, there's a window to guide how a child's jaw grows — before things get complicated. Catching issues early means less treatment later, smaller appliances, and a much easier experience for your kid in the long run. If your child snores, grinds their teeth, or breathes mostly through their mouth, this is worth a conversation now.

Services:

  • Early orthodontic evaluation (ages 6–7)

  • Jaw development guidance

  • Airway & breathing support

  • Palate expanders

Adult Orthodontics

About half of our patients are adults. Some have been thinking about it for years. Some were told it was too complicated. Most of the time, that's not true. Dr. Lasley specializes in complex adult cases — including situations other providers have turned away — and he does it without pulling healthy teeth whenever possible.

Services:

  • Invisalign for adults

  • Clear and lingual braces

  • Complex bite correction

  • Non-extraction treatment approach

Surgical Orthodontics

Some bite and facial concerns go beyond what braces or aligners can fix on their own. In those cases, Dr. Lasley works hand-in-hand with an oral surgeon to plan and complete treatment together. If you've been told your case is too severe, come talk to us first.

Services:

  • Jaw surgery coordination (orthognathic surgery)

  • Pre- and post-surgical orthodontic treatment

  • Complex bite and facial alignment cases

Free Consultation

Not sure where to start? That's exactly what the consultation is for. We'll look at what's going on, walk you through your options, and give you a clear picture — with zero obligation to start that day. Most people leave feeling relieved they finally came in.

Services:

  • In-person consultation

  • Virtual consultation option

What OUR PaTIENTS are saying

MEET OUR DOCTOR

Dr. Andrew Lasley

Dr. Andrew Lasley didn't choose dentistry on a whim — he grew up in it. The son of a periodontist and the great-great-grandson of a dentist who practiced from the back of a horse and buggy, Dr. Lasley is a fourth-generation dental professional who understood from an early age what it means to build a life around helping people. Before becoming an orthodontist, he earned a degree in mechanical and biomedical engineering at the University of Vermont, completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Boston University, and finished a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers). That engineering foundation shapes everything about how he plans and approaches treatment — thinking not just about where teeth are today, but how every decision holds up over a lifetime.

Dr. Lasley has been practicing in Washington State since 2008 and is a recognized specialist through the Kois Center in Seattle, one of the most respected research-driven dental education institutions in the country — where he has been studying and returning every year for over 20 years. He is a Diamond Invisalign Provider, placing him among the most experienced Invisalign practitioners in the country, and regularly takes on complex cases that other providers turn away. His approach is rooted in early intervention, light-force treatment philosophy, and the kind of thorough treatment planning that considers the full picture of a patient's dental health — not just what's in front of him.

What drives Dr. Lasley, though, has always been simpler than credentials. His father taught him that the measure of a life is how much you helped others — and when his father passed, patients who had been with him for 30 and 40 years showed up in tears. That's the standard Dr. Lasley holds himself to every single day. He has turned down every offer to sell, stayed in the communities he serves, and built a practice where patients are treated like people he genuinely knows. Because they are.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should my child first see an orthodontist?

Earlier than most parents think — ideally between ages 5 and 8. Around age 10, the upper jaw begins to fuse, and certain corrections become significantly more involved after that window closes. An early visit doesn't necessarily mean starting treatment right away. It just means we know what we're watching for — and you do too.

Do I need a referral to book a consultation?

Not at all. You can call us directly — for yourself or your child. No referral, no gatekeeping. The first step is just a conversation, and it's completely free.

Is Invisalign as effective as braces?

In experienced hands, yes — for most cases. Dr. Lasley is a Diamond Invisalign Provider with over 17 years of experience using both. He'll tell you which one actually fits your case, not whichever is easiest for us. The planning is where outcomes are made, and that's where we spend our time.

How long does treatment take?

Most full treatment plans run somewhere between 12 and 24 months, depending on your case. Early intervention for kids is often shorter. At your first visit, we'll give you a realistic timeline — not an optimistic one — so you know exactly what you're stepping into.

Does orthodontic treatment hurt?

Light pressure, yes. Pain, rarely. Dr. Lasley uses light-force mechanics specifically because heavy force doesn't mean faster results — it just means more soreness. Most patients are genuinely surprised by how comfortable the process actually is.

I'm an adult. Is it too late for me?

Almost never. About half of Dr. Lasley's patients are adults — including many who were told their case was too complicated or that they'd waited too long. Most of the time, that's simply not true. If you've been putting this off, come in and let us take a look. You might be surprised by what's possible.

What happens at the free consultation?

We look at your jaw, your bite, your airway, and your teeth — not just alignment. For kids, we're looking at the bigger developmental picture. You'll leave knowing exactly what we found, what your options are, and what treatment could look like. No pressure, no obligation. Just a clear picture so you can make the best decision for yourself or your family.
